内容提要
《基础病理学》的英文原名为“Robbins Basic Pathology”,由Kumar V, Cotran RS, Robbins RS三人主编。本书共分两大部分(概论和各系统疾病)二十三个小部分。全书以临床病理、解剖病理为主，注重对疾病发病机制的叙述，个别疾病中还涉及实验室诊断。本书与前几版相比，做了较大修改，一是将几乎所有的黑白图片都换成了全彩的图片(包括大体标本的照片，镜下照片或是示意图)；二是增加了更多的图表，以方便读者对内容的理解；三是对部分内容的更新，增加了更多的分子生物学方面的内容和实验室诊断方面的内容；四是在遗传性疾病这一部分中加强了儿科方面的内容。
本书注重基础理论与临床实际的联系，采用了大量简明但具有概括和启发性的模式图、示意图，同时附有大量彩色照片，图文并茂，是医药院校本科生、研究生和病理学教师学习专业知识，提高专业外语水平的必读教材。
